Web Entrepreneurial Must-Reads
By Chris on Jun 9, 2006 in Entrepreneurship, Resources
If, like me, making money and general entrepreneurial things appeal to you, I recommend you read the following:
- Work Boxers - this was the first “make mony online” blog I came across (back when Scrivs had just bought the domain) and it still holds a dear place in my heart. New owner Jamsi seems a cool guy with a lot of ideas to share, so I’m looking forward to the site growing again after a few months in the doldrums.
- Steve Pavlina - not so much an entrepreneurial site as a “personal development” (for smart people) site. Steve has a lot to share about how he got his business off the ground. He make a very healthy living from his blog alone, so he must be doing something right! His podcasts are worth a listen.
- Yaro Starak (Entrepreneurs Journey, Small Business Branding, Blog Traffic School). Yaro is “the Blog Traffic King”. Read any of his blogs and you’ll soon see he knows a lot about business and making money both on and offline. Yaro’s one of those people who have been there and done that - even if only to give it a shot. Another one with good podcasts.
- Business Opportunities - Kind of a tips aggregator, a little bit like Lifehacker I guess. If nothing, it’s good for finding ideas.
- College Startup - If only I had this much drive and motivation when I was at Uni. I’d possibly be quite wealthy by now. A good, quality site with a lot of interesting articles.
I’ve missed out all the “ProBlogging” sites I read off the list, as I think they’re a bit too focused on one thing, but if you’re interested then read Problogger and Performancing.
Are there any sites or even eBooks/resources you know of that you would recommend to others? I may be opening the gates to a load of affilaite link spam recommendations, but for this entry I won’t mind if you clearly mark any affiliate links as such.

Whoops! Forgot one on the list - Burt’s Entrepreneurial Blog. Burt is a bit of an inspiration for me, having come across him on Yaro Staraks’ forums.

Hey thanks for the mention and kind comments, I really appreciate it. It really means a lot when I know people enjoy my work - it makes me want to work more…win-win.
Keep up the great blogging!
